Surround yourself in the vineyards of wine country and the romance and mystique of the wine itself. This is your opportunity to enjoy the entire experience here in the Alexander Valley. From the time you awaken to the spectacular views to the golden sunsets of the area you will find yourself immersed in the wonders of the region. This wonderful 50 acre property is located on the rolling hillsides at the northern most end of the Alexander Valley. This unprecedented 'eastern view' captures many of the sites and other vineyards not usually found in the visual spectrum of the valley.
The home was custom built by its owners to enjoy their vineyards and the wine country. It features 3 comfortable bedrooms, 3 full baths and a living area that brings the outdoors inside, with all its windows and magnificent vistas. The wood burning fireplace adds to the ambiance of this spectacular home and the fully stocked kitchen for the discerning chef.
During your visit, the Winemakers at Icaria Creek will personally invite you to a barrel tasting of their award winning wines (wine tasting fees apply and will be paid directly to Icaria).
You are staying at a working winery. The vineyards are tended to on a regular basis and you may experience pruning, picking and spraying during your stay. Harvest and crush is in the fall, based on the weather and the maturity of the grapes on the vine. The owners conduct tastings on the lower level of the home in the wine cellar and some may occur during your stay.

Icaria Creek Winery & Vineyards can be found just to the north of Silver Oak in Alexander Valley, Sonoma County. In 1989, Wayne & Barbara Smith purchased a 50 acre parcel and planted one of the first hillside vineyards in Sonoma County to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. This fruit is sold to many prestigious wineries. Their youngest son Jeff finished his Business degree at Fresno State and moved back to Sonoma County to start a small boutique winery. Icaria Creek Winery was started in 1998, and the first vintage release, a 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley earned 4 stars from Restaurant Wine Publisher Ronn Weigand. Jeff worked at a small Pinot Noir winery for a couple of years, learning the ropes in the business and production side while crafting his winemaking skills at nights and weekends at Icaria.  Jeff oversees multiple picks across the rocky knoll hillside vineyard in order to achieve optimal ripeness and structural foundation. Clone 337 is used on the Cabernet, this produces a loose cluster and small berry which helps create some of the most concentrated and beautiful wines in the world. In the past few years Icaria Winery has purchased fruit from a few other distinct hillside vineyards across Alexander Valley and Dry Creek Valley. The wine is carefully aged for 12-24 months in select French and Hungarian Oak barrels and 6-12 months in the bottle, this help achieve the renowned elegant and exquisitely balanced style.

Cancellation Policy
Written notice of cancellation must be received and acknowledged by Owner before 30 days prior to the check-in date in order for Occupant to receive a full refund of the Reservation Deposit. Upon receipt of written notice to cancel, Owner will send email confirmation of cancellation. For cancellation requests received less than 30 days prior to the check-in date, 100% of the rental fee is forfeited. Furthermore, it is understood that Owner may reject this application and return the deposits in full; and Occupant hereby waives any claim for damages by reason of non-acceptance of tenancy. If cancellation is due to any circumstance caused by Owner, or by any act of nature that renders the home uninhabitable, then 100% of all deposits will be promptly returned to Occupant. After the first day of the rental, there will be no refunds for any reason. No credit will be given for shortened stays due to late arrival or early departure for any reason. No cancellations due to weather.
