SONOMA COUNTY EVACUATION ZONES

Know Your Zone

A fully completed copy of this poster, in addition to a map of your home’s designated evacuation zone, has ALREADY been placed in your home’s manual–both on-line and in your house.

UPDATE ON SOCO MORATORIUM

Click here to watch SoCo Hospitality Associations’s one on one with the County The most important update begins at Minute 19 and is about 15 min. in length.

New Requirements (and really great ideas in general): ALL vacation rentals within the county must have:

  • An emergency NOAA radio with AM/FM options such as https://a.co/d/72Mmd9e **
  • A Landline** of some sort which can be a voice over Internet. Best option depends on your internet provider:
    • Starlink: OOMA VoIP phone such as this retro option
    • Infinity/Mediacom: Call provider, request “voice to be turned on”, write down the phone number assigned to your house and make sure they ACTIVATE the line. At that point any basic phone can be plugged into the modem. The purchase of a backup battery for your modem is encouraged (requires six eligible 6V lantern batteries that must be purchased separately from retailers)

Evacuation Plan, Zone Information and Map & Nixle Link have already been added to the virtual house binder and is making their way into the paper binders.

**I will place the radios in the home your behalf but OWNERS are responsible for setting up landline**

GONE: SOCO ANNUAL MONITORING FEE TO COME: YEARLY BUSINESS LICENSE

Each year a business license will need to be renewed which will allow owners who are not actively using their home as an STR to avoid having to pay annually. Permit remains active regardless of license status.
