Some animals you’ll see on the safari are Bongo, Caracal, Cheetahs, Mandarin Ducks, Fennec Fox, and more. They have over 900 animals that roam through their 400 – acre preserve, which has over 90 different species. Charles M. Schulz Museum & Research Center
Do you remember when you were a child and reading the Peanuts comic on Sunday morning was the highlight of the day? We know that children won’t experience them these days, but you can introduce them on your trip to Santa Rosa. Head over to the Charles M. Schulz Museum & Research Center, which opened its doors in 2002 to help preserve the history and legacy of the famous American cartoonist. Most kids these days will know who Charlie Brown or Snoopy is, but they will get an entire glance into the life of Charles and holds many original Peanut comic strips. What a fantastic way to learn and do workshops while on your family vacation.
Robert Ferguson Observatory
Another favorite many families visit on each trip to Santa Rosa happens to be the Robert Ferguson Observatory. While you can’t visit every day, they offer different events, including Public Star Parties, and you can purchase tickets. From seeing some of the best constellations to seeing the Milky Way, it’s a beautiful and educational adventure for the whole family.
